PJ Harvey är världens sexigaste kvinna. Punkt. Faktum är att jag skall tacka hennes über-sexighet för att jag träffade min sambo. Vi träffades på en chatt-kanal under ett storbråk om hurvida man kunde kalla PJ för sexig eller ej. Hmm. Jag har haft PJ-perioder och hon är en av “de viktiga” artisterna för mej, men skivan “Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea” hade bara värmt hyllan medans jag spelat både “Is This Desire?” och “Uh Huh Her“. Konstigt. Det är ju helt galet! “Stories From…” är en tok-bra skiva.

[1998] and To Bring You My Love [1995] - where I was really looking for dark, unsettling, nauseous-making sounds - Stories From The City… was the reaction. I thought, No, I want absolute beauty. I want this album to sing and fly and be full of reverb and lush layers of melody. I want it to be my beautiful, sumptuous, lovely piece of work.” She did, however, joke that it was only “pop according to PJ Harvey, which is probably as un-pop as you can get according to most people’s standards.”
